Luncheon

The ladies and I have preferred to take our lunch in the garden (hah!) of late, so we can take full advantage of the warming weather. These are usually sophisticated affairs
complete with toothpicks,and amazing manners.

Full cooperation with the resident photographer

is always practiced.

We discuss important and pressing matters,

rarely giggle,

and always keep ourselves from silliness.

The resident photographer loves these luncheons,

trying to soak up more than just the sunshine.

Also in attendance is this hairy beast, constantly dropping his soccer ball at your feet with pleading eyes... "She kicked it! She kicked it!"

He is getting pretty good at catching it mid-air.

Sweet (but oh so hairy) dog.

Hawaii and Seattle

We had already planned a trip to Seattle over spring break when we got the news that Nathan had to take a trip to Hawaii for work two weeks before spring break, so we had a delightfully busy few weeks. I say the trip was for "work" but 98% of it was play. The company invited me along also so we got to visit exactly where we honeymooned 15 years ago this year. When I say exactly, I mean same island. A just married part time college student and a multi-million dollar corporation don't pick the same hotel. =)

These first 3 where taken by the trip photographer..

Welcoming Luau
Doing the hula at the Luau immediately following a failed "stare at your teriyaki pork and DO NOT make eye-contact" maneuver.

"Jazz Under the Stars"

Quite possibly the most delightful picnic ever.

Can you feel the heavy warm scented air mixed with the cool gentle trade winds? aaahh.. Part of the 2%. Lunching where we breakfasted 15 years ago.

Napili Bay This trip was possible due to the bravery of two very special people.

After a few days at home we fly to beautiful albeit wet Seattle. We really did have such a fun time there. The kids loved having new playmates, I loved the break from meal planning, homework and all that daily routine stuff. And having someone (adult) to chat with all day long was so nice.
