February

February was filled to the brim. We started it off with a nasty flu bug that took out most of us. We rallied enough and just in time for Mia and I to make it to my dear Grandpa's funeral in Walla Walla. From there we went directly to Mammoth mountain to enjoy some snow with Nathan's parents and then it was home for a very fun weekend of friends visiting.

I don't know why it must but when it rains it pours. Oh well, we are thankful for all the many friends we got to see and re-connect with this month, for the many miles Mia traveled in relatively good humor, for the time spent with family be it crying and laughing at memories, playing Wii on the couch in the mountains, or riding on the ski lift. Lord, you give us so much, so many blessings. They are always pouring down.

Mia got to meet many uncles, aunts, cousins, and one special great Grandma.

She also mastered Aunt Lori's phone.

If you had the privilage of knowing my Grandpa, you know what a sweet, steady, kind and gentle soul he was with the greatest chuckle ever.

4 Generations

We stayed in the condo on the first floor behind this mound of snow.

From this...

to this.

Guess which one wasn't excited about sledding.

They broke this icicle down using, I believe, a potato masher from the kitchen, put the pieces in a milk bottle that they rinsed out and waited for it to melt so they could have "mountain fresh water". Jill took a sip and said that it tasted like wood. From the look on his face Lucas agreed but he put on a smile and declared it was the best water he had ever tasted and then asked if I thought he could sell it for 3-5 dollars a gallon.

Mia size...she sucked on it then and there.

a bunch of crazy kids, having a blast together

Megan I'm so glad you guys were able to make it to your grandpa's funeral, it is so nice to catch up with extended family, even in a time of sadness. The rest of your month looked like lots of fun too. Our March is like your February, maybe we can catch up in April or May? ;)

The post made my day...now I will take my walk and think about the kids in the pictures and how lucky I am to be an Aunty to them!!!

Don't know which pictures to comment on because they are all fantastic. I can't stop laughing thinking about Jill saying it tastes like wood and trying to watch Lucas brave it out. Also, Jilly and the not-so-much-love of sledding is also giving me the giggles. I cannot wait to see those kids!
