Visit from MN Family

Earlier this week we got a visit from two of Nathan's Uncle and Aunts (pronounced the non-insect way) from Minnesota. It was good to see them again and catch up. They arrived on Sunday evening just in time to eat pizza on the beach and watch the sun go down. It would have been a lovely California welcome if it hadn't been freezing cold! It looked beautiful but the wind kept us wrapped up and sent us scurrying home as soon as the pizza was gone. Monday the men headed back to the beach where Nathan's cousin tried his hand at surfing. After a lunch of In-and-Out, the ladies and Jackson headed to Coronado Island to check out the Hotel Del. It was so beautiful...note-to-self: must stay there at some point. Tuesday afternoon the gang left to continue their vacation in Tehachapi. We were thankful they came down to San Diego so we could spend time with them and so we could brush up on our Minnisoooota accent. :o)

Lucas and cousin Tim came up with this cool trick...

Jackson tried a new trick too...

Thanks for posting the pictures, Megan! I've been thinking about everyone all week and wishing I'd been able to be there, too. ;-)

We had a wonderful time at your homes, both old and new. You were so gracious to invite us. A lot of memories were made. Aunt Sandi (from CA)
