Catch up

I thought I would catch you up on the past week with a few pictures.

Last Thursday we got to have Uncle Partha with us for the evening. Jill didn't have any problems warming up and Lucas kept saying "Uncle Partha, do you know what?...". We just wished that the rest of the family could have been with us too!

As you know, this weekend Jilly came down with a fever, cough and a serious case of the grumpies. This picture is from a rare moment when she started taking care of her baby and forgot to cry for Mommy. For the past few days she has "needed" to be held by either Mommy or Daddy. Once, while I was holding her, I was also on the internet and for some reason ended up listening to a live performance by Josh Grobin. He is a singer with longish curly dark hair. As soon as he started singing, Jill perked up and said "that's Jesus!"??

Here is Lucas sitting by the fire on a rocking chair enjoying a cup of "Ovaltea" as he calls it. Can you imagine how many times he was told to be careful?! I just picked up this children's rocker from an antique store and need suggestions on how I should refinish it. I was going to paint it white or pink for Jill's room but when I got it home I thought maybe I would keep it in the living room. It fits Lucas just right and because it is wider than normal kids chairs it even fits Mommy. Now I'm thinking I might just restain it a darker color. Lucas has been diligently helping me sand it. He even got out the step ladder so he could, uh... reach the high places? I wasn't able to figure out why he thought he needed it but it was rather humorous watching him stand on the ladder all official like and then have to strain over the top of it to reach down to the lower parts of the chair. What a nut.

Finally a picture from today of a much improved Jill. She was helping me put "1, 2, 5, 8" towels away. Oh, she is so much more fun when she is happy!

Pirate!

This morning I opened the shower door to see little Jill standing there with Lucas's arm proudly wrapped around her looking like this ...

Big brother Lucas immediately launched into an explaination: "Well, I accidently hurt her in her eye so I told her I was sorry and I got a bucket of water and washed off the ouchie and then put this bandaid on her. I think it looks pretty cool - like she is a pirate!" Jill looked so pathetic with left-over tears on her check, a runny nose , and that riduculous band-aid ("I pirate!") I had to go get my camera.

Grandpa you asked for a picture of the "guns" being developed at gym class so here they are...try not to be afraid!
